Project Chrysalis is committed to providing an accessible, inclusive, educational, prevention and awareness raising service that empowers women and girls to make choices and to address the effects of domestic violence on children.
Aims and Objectives
- To promote and protect the physical and mental health of women, girls and young children who have been affected in some way by the issues of domestic violence by the provision of a non judgemental advice and support service.
- To advance the education of the public in matters relating to domestic violence in particular into the causes, remedies and prevention of domestic violence.
Activities
We operate on a friendly, drop-in basis and, if necessary, will go and meet women and girls in a safe place - sometimes accompanying them to other organisations for further support.
We always encourage our clients to keep in touch with us and involve them in the development of the project, as a way of raising their self-esteem and awareness.
In this way, we become their mentors.
